δ18O in silicate fractions
δ13C and δ18O in carbonates
Pure Carbonates fine powered samples are required
δ13C(DIC) , δ18O, and δD in water
Filtered (using nylon filter), and unfiltered samples can be analyzed
δ13C in bulk (inorganic + organic), δ18O in bulk and δ15N
Fine powder samples are required
For δ18O, remove silicate fractions also
δ13C and δ18O in organic fractions
De-carbonated fine powder samples are required
For high Isotope Precision in small amount of carbonates such as forums, enamel etc.
Pure carbonate and cleaned powered samples are required.
Forums must be cleaned without powered
silicate fractions
Individual silicate mineral must be separated from the rocks using magnetic, gravity, and density separation techniques.
Separated diatoms, and radiolarians can also be analysed.
Samples must be stored in air tight vials. Samples must be prepared by the user for any type of analysis as describe above before sending to the lab.
